Two-time GRAMMY Award-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show has announced the 2024 Jubilee Tour in support of their GRAMMY-nominated album, which celebrates the group’s 25-year anniversary. Joined by Del McCoury Band, the band’s nationwide trek includes a performance at Cincinnati’s The Andrew J Brady Music Center® on Friday, July 12.

“25 years since we first journeyed across the continent with fiddles and banjos blazing, the unstoppable spirit of Old Crow remains,” says Ketch Secor. “Like every new year since the first, the guys and I are excited for another spin around the country. We’re grateful for the lifelong passionate love affair with our amazing audience and the incredible land we share. Come one, come all and join in our jubilee.”

The highly anticipated follow-up to Old Crow Medicine Show’s acclaimed 2022 album Paint This Town, Jubilee was co-produced with Matt Ross-Spang and features special guests including Mavis Staples, Sierra Ferrell, and Willie Watson, who recorded with the band for the first time in over 10 years on their single “Miles Away” (watch their recent performance here). The single spent nine weeks in the Top 10 at Americana Radio during an 18-week chart run.

To date, the album has garnered widespread acclaim including Consequence, SPIN, BrooklynVegan, American Songwriter, No Depression and more. Last year, Secor spoke with Rolling Stone and NPR’s Here & Now about the album and shared more insight into the band’s activism. Recently, the group released a powerful protest anthem called “Louder Than Guns,” and Secor penned a compelling guest essay for The New York Times.

Acclaim for Jubilee:

“It’s a stirring collection of punky string music, winking vaudeville, and piercing laments…” – Rolling Stone

“...a bastion of bluegrass and Americana icons…Every song testifies to their seemingly effortless indulgence, resulting in a joyful combination of intellect and ability.” – American Songwriter

“In 25 years, the group has been all over the place, and it’s a credit to them that you can never quite tell from moment to moment and track to track whether they’ll be strolling down the middle of the road or rolling in the gutter.” – No Depression

“...Old Crow's ceaseless energy - members running, dancing, play-fighting, throwing and swapping instruments and jumping about the stage, all whilst playing at the speed of light - was something to behold.” – Holler

“Old Crow Medicine Show delivered a sensational performance that’s sure to go down in C2C history as one of those ‘I was there when’ moments…They showcased exactly what it is that’s kept them in the game for so long.” – Entertainment Focus

Old Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners in 1998, from New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival, MerleFest, and the rest is history. It’s been over twenty years since these humble beginnings. The band has gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry and have won two Grammy Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). Additionally, their classic single, “Wagon Wheel”, received the RIAA’s Double-Platinum certification in 2019 for selling over 2,000,000 copies while the band’s debut album O.C.M.S. has been certified Gold (500,000 copies). The band’s latest release is ‘Jubilee’ (Aug 2023) released via ATO Records.
